Lauren Mendelsohn, Associate Attorney with Law Offices of Omar Figueroa.
Lauren just returned from LA, where she attended a meeting with the new Interdisciplinary Cannabis Research Institute. She joins the group as a Founding Member. Lauren will give a brief report on this important group. Also, since we all want more information on permitting, Lauren has agreed to give a brief review of the administrative rule-making process (think - "what happens after the public has submitted comments on the draft reg?") and how this process differs from the Adult Use regs. She will answer the questions on everyone's minds: "How can these regulations be challenged?"

Angie skillfully orchestrates teams of passionate, intelligent experts who tackle complex problems—and eliminate fear of the unknown—with smart planning. She excels at helping evolving cannabis companies integrate tried-and-true business practices and manage major transitions while balancing different styles, needs, and personalities. Previously serving as EVP of the SPARC and Peace in Medicine family of companies, Angie brings diverse experience working within and beyond the cannabis sector. A former student of the U.S. Naval Academy and of Sonoma State University’s School of Business and Economics, Angie endeavors to share and promote what makes the cannabis industry beautiful: a renewed interest in nature and politics, and cultural, health, and economic empowerment.
